Be prepared

1. Have your computer on with QuickBooks running when we talk to you.

2. Have the following information handy:

  • Your QuickBooks registration number and version number
  • Your Windows version number
    (To display these numbers, hold down the Ctrl key and press "1" on the keyboard. The numbers appear in the upper portion of the window.) If you receive an error message, provide the exact wording of the message and the steps you performed prior to receiving the message.
  • The online services account number, if applicable.
  • The hardware type and model of your computer.
  • The manufacturer and model of your monitor, if relevant to your problem.
  • The amount of memory (RAM) installed on your system.
  • The printer manufacturer, type, and model, if relevant to your problem.
  • Your network configuration, if any.
