The enclosed Support Level Supplement (SLS) UOD418A, the Enhanced fsck(ADM)
Supplement, contains a replacement fsck(ADM) for: 

   SCO UNIX System V/386 Operating System Release 3.2 Version 4.2 
   SCO Open Server Enterprise System Release 3.0 
   SCO Open Server Network System Release 3.0 
   SCO Open Desktop Release 3.0 
   SCO Open Desktop Lite Release 3.0 

SLS UOD418A corrects a problem with fsck(ADM) prompting for a scratch
file on filesystems greater than 1600MB.  SLS UOD418A contains a new 
fsck(ADM) with an increased size of in-core array created for checking, 
so that filesystems smaller than 2GB can be checked without the need 
for a scratch file.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

To install SLS UOD418A:
       
1. Log in as 'root'.

2. At the prompt '#', type "custom".

   The custom menu will appear.  Select:

          Install -> A New Product -> Entire Product

   Insert the requested volume and press <Enter>.

   You will see:

          Installing.."Executing Product Prep Script"

   You will then be prompted again to insert the requested volume 
   (Enhanced fsck(ADM) Supplement (UOD418A)); press <Enter>.

   The message "Executing Enhanced fsck(ADM) Supplement (UOD418A)
   Init Script" will appear.


REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

To remove SLS UOD418A: 

1. Log in as 'root'.

2. At the '#' prompt, type "custom" and select "Remove".

3. Highlight and select "Enhanced fsck(ADM) Supplement (UOD418A)".

   You will then be asked to verify the removal.  To do so, press <Enter>.

   The message "Executing Enhanced fsck(ADM) Supplement (UOD418A) 
   Removal Script" will be displayed, and the product will be removed.
