Overview of Background Checks

When would I use this?
The Background Check Service allows you to connect to our affiliate, IntelliCorp's site to run a wide variety of background checks on current and potential employees. Depending on the type of position, it may be critical for you to check the background of an individual to protect you and your business from liability. For example, if an applicant is going to be driving a company vehicle, it would be wise to check that individual's driving and criminal records.
 
Additionally, some states require background checks for certain positions. (See the Employment Regulations Guide topic on Background Checks for more information).

This service will give you the information you need and peace of mind you want that you've got the right people on the job.


The Service
 
  • Employee Organizer customers pay no upfront or minimum monthly fees. You pay only for the checks you request.


  • The link to Get a Background Check will bring you to the IntelliCorp site. IntelliCorp is a leader in the Background Check industry.

  • The first time you access the site, you'll need to register with IntelliCorp. You'll also need to provide payment information, however you will not be charged for anything until you submit a check request.


  • After initial registration, you will be given a User ID and Password to use on this site whenever you need to request a check.


              Performing a Search
  • There are a variety of checks to choose from, ranging from simple SSN Verification checks that provide instant results to comprehensive criminal, employment and education verification checks.


              Recommendations
  • As there are a large number of checks offered, IntelliCorp will also provide you with recommendations on the types of checks to run depending on your criteria.


              Results
  • You are able to login and check for results at any time.


  • In some cases, the results are instant and are available in report format for your review right away.


  • Results of other checks may not be available right away, but you will be notified when they become available.
